.. Bridon Ropes 3 Glebe 2 Well the season finally kicked off at 2pm for Bridon Ropes vs Glebe. The game kicked off and glebe dominated the 1st 20mins, to be honest the boys looked really nervous, so glebe saw that and carried on putting pressure mainly down their right side with tricky work. But Bridon defended well from a few corners and set pieces. Glebe took the lead after 15mins, with a well worked goal and took their chance well. After this we woke up and knuckled down with some nice moves and footwork from Adi, Jack, Finlay, Henry, Luke and Romario. We took a few early chances and started playing the football which we know we can. Then on 30mins a free kick was awarded to bridon. Jason delievered a peach of a ball, then great thinking from Sam with a flick, and there was the fox in the box Jack kimmins with a nodded goal. This gave the boys a massive lift, the football flew better and better with Henry and Luke and Finley starting to take control of the middle and spreading the play. Half Time After the break the boys come out with great spirit and believed then that they have a chance for all 3. They carried on with some nice 2 touch football with nice work from the back line emmamuel, victor, sam and rhys. Up to Henry, Luke which then after so much pressure put on us for the 1st half, we managed to get our own back. After 10mins into half with some lovely football played with Jason, Adi and Jack, Adi got a well deserved goal after putting them under pressure for every ball. 2-1 now with 25mins to go, Glebe then started putting the pressure on us again, and started reminding what they was here for and proving that they wanted those 3 points, with great pressure put on us. The game started opening up and then came the 2nd goal on 20mins, with again a well taken goal. By this time bridon knew that Glebe were up and ready even more. Henry and Jason keep talking to the boys to keep there heads up, the game was still end to end, with Romario and al missing a couple of chances and jack had a shot cleared off the line. Then GOOOOOAAAAAAAAL on 28mins a crossed ball and Jason with the goal. Bridon 3-2. However with 7mins to go that was it Glebe kept coming at us, and we was just waiting for the final whistle. Then came that whistle. Well done Bridon for their 1st win in Kent league. And a massive thank you for Glebe, Great parents, players and manager. Manager Pete Moody, John Thomson
